If you are a first-time applicant for a medical certificate it is mandatory that you complete a CCVT. This is a one-time exam that costs $50 (this cost is reflected in the $200 exam price).
Because you are applying for a 1st class medical certificate you may also need an EKG. The requirements for needing an EKG are complex and case-dependent. Please click the link below to read more about the requirements:

If you fit the criteria for a pilot that does need an EKG, the exam cannot be completed unless we do a proper EKG. Please note: a payment of $100.00 will be taken in office during your exam, via check, cash, or credit.
