FAA medical certification outcomes

Wisconsin AME does not guarantee same-day issuance, FAA medical certificate issuance, Special Issuance approval, FAA approval, or any specific certification outcome. FAA medical eligibility depends on FAA rules, the information provided by the applicant, medical history, required documentation, and FAA review when applicable.

When FAA criteria are met, an FAA medical certificate may be issued during the visit. Some applicants require additional documentation, deferral, FAA review, Special Issuance review, or may not qualify for issuance. Any timeline or next step discussed on this website is informational and may change based on FAA requirements.

AME regulatory role and no personal physician relationship

Ernesto Brauer, MD, AME, is a designee of the Federal Aviation Administration and performs FAA medical exams in a regulatory capacity. The AME is not acting as your personal physician during an FAA medical exam or FAA-focused consultation.

No personal doctor-patient relationship is created by using this website, scheduling an appointment, attending an FAA medical exam, or requesting an FAA-related consultation. Information learned during an FAA medical exam or consultation may be required to be disclosed to the FAA as part of the certification process.

Consultations

Consultations are intended to help pilots understand FAA medical certification questions, potential documentation needs, and possible pathways before or after an FAA medical exam. A consultation is not FAA approval, does not guarantee certification, and does not replace FAA review where FAA review is required.

Scheduling, payment, cancellation, and refund policy

Scheduling is provided through Calendly and payments may be processed through Stripe. Those third-party services operate under their own terms and policies.

If you cancel your appointment and request a refund, credit card processing fees are non-refundable. You will receive a refund for the remaining balance after those fees are deducted. Cancellations received more than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment are eligible for a refund of the remaining balance. Refunds are generally processed within 14-21 business days of cancellation, but your bank or card issuer may require additional time.

No-shows, late arrivals, incomplete MedXPress submission, missing required identification, missing required documentation, or inability to complete the FAA exam due to applicant-preparation issues may affect refund eligibility.
