Class 2 / 3 · First-Time Applicant
Starting in 2025, the FAA is requiring first-time applicants to take a Computerized Color Vision Test (CCVT)
This new test will require at least an additional 15–20 minutes of time, and due to software licensing fees will cost an additional $50. This is a one-time-only payment, and only applies to new applicants who have never had a flight physical before.
