If you have had a prior FAA medical certificate, it is critically important that you bring a copy with you to your appointment

If you do not bring this with you, the FAA may require that you take something called a Computerized Color Vision Test (CCVT). In order to avoid this additional time and expense (normally $50), please make a note to bring your medical certificate with you to ensure that you are exempt from this new FAA policy.
